Screen Time Receipt shows how you used your phone as a printable receipt: time spent in each app, app opens, unlocks and a total. This policy explains what information the app uses and what happens to it.

Information the app uses on your device

App usage information. With your permission (Usage access), Screen Time Receipt reads your phone's usage history for the period you pick (today, yesterday or the last 7 days): which apps were open and for how long, and when the screen was unlocked. It uses this only to draw your receipt.

App names. To print each line, the app looks up the names of apps that appear in your launcher.

What is stored. The app stores only two settings in its private storage on your device: the apps whose names you chose to black out, and whether the daily reminder is on. Usage information is read fresh each time and is not saved.

Permissions

  • Usage access: to read how long each app was open.
  • Notifications (optional): for the daily receipt reminder.
  • Run at startup: to set the daily reminder again after your phone restarts.

Sharing

The app never sends any information anywhere: it does not have permission to use the internet. When you tap Share, the app makes an image of your receipt and opens Android's share menu. The image goes only to the app or person you pick, and only if you choose to send it. Before sharing, you can tap any app on the receipt to black out its name.

Retention and deletion

The receipt image is kept in the app's temporary storage on your device until you share the next one. Uninstalling Screen Time Receipt, or clearing its storage in Settings → Apps → Screen Time Receipt → Storage, deletes all of its data.

Children

Screen Time Receipt is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
